On our way to the West Coast we came through Death Valley. At dawn we passed Emigrant Campground which existed out of one “abandoned” cabin along the CA-190. At least it looks like an abandoned cabin. When I got home and searched the place with Google.com, I found out that it actually is a campground and still in use.
Emigrant Campground offers ten places to put your tent for a rest over night, furthermore you will no comfort at all. Even the toilet is worser than a portable toilet (DIXI). Emigrant Campground is located in Death Valley and is actually an official campground of the National Park Service.
In the map below, you can see the allocation of Emigrant Campground on Google Maps. Emigrant Campground is located in Death Valley, and is in between Fresno (California) and Las Vegas (Nevada). To get in Fresno, you first need to travel through Sequoia National Park.
